City Receives Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting

The Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting has been awarded to the City of Madisonville by the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canada (GFOA)  More Details

South Main Interceptor Project High Priority

The City of Madisonville is committed to providing quality services in the areas of water distribution, wastewater collection, and wastewater treatment. The South Main Interceptor Project is one of high priority as it will increase the quality of sewer service provided to the citizens of Madisonville in addition to making sewer service available to residents outside the City limits.  More Details

 

City and County Hold Joint Meeting

On November 6, 2007 the Madisonville City Council and the Hopkins County Fiscal Court came together for their very first joint meeting. The meeting took place at the Government Center...More Details

Collection of Loose Leaves Scheduled

The City of Madisonville Sanitation Department began picking up loose leaves on Monday, October 29, 2007 and will continue to do so until January 5, 2008.  More Details

Weather Siren Testing to Take Place on New Day of Week

Beginning November 7, 2007 the weekly weather siren test will be performed every Wednesday at 12:00 noon. Previously the system was tested at noon on Saturday, but this change has been implemented to better facilitate the testing process.  More Details

 

Electric Meters Scheduled for Upgrade

The City of Madisonville Electric Department will be upgrading all electric meters within the next 36-48 months. This upgrade is due to the conversion to automated meter reading (AMR).  More Details
