Police Department Passes Compliance Audit
On April 8, 2009 an investigator from the Department of Criminal Justice Training conducted a compliance audit of the Madisonville Police Department. The purpose of the audit was to ensure that requirements to participate and receive funds from the Kentucky Law Enforcement Foundation Program Fund (KLEFPF) were being met and that the department was in compliance with Peace officer Professional Standards (POPS) and Telecommunicator Professional Standards (TPS).
The Department of Criminal Justice Training found the Madisonville Police Department to be in full compliance. Furthermore, the investigator found that the KLEFPF pay supplements and the POPS and TPS standards are in compliance with KRS regulations.
