Madisonville PD Cadets Receive Top Honors

The Kentucky Law Enforcement Basic Training Ceremony for Class #387 was held on December 7, 2007.  The class consisted of 22 trainees representing communities throughout the state of Kentucky.  Four of the trainees represented the Madisonville Police Department.  (More Details)

The City "Goes Green"

On January 7, 2008 city council members voted unanimously to enroll the City in the KY Excel program offered through the Kentucky Department for Environmental Protection.  (More Details)

Mountain Workshops Books Now Available

"A Place Built to Last" was the title chosen for the 2006 Mountain Workshops book; a compilation of photographs and stories arranged by photojournalists who gathered in Madisonville in the fall of 2006.  (More Details)

C-Link Reception in Frankfort

The Madisonville-Hopkins County Chamber of Commerce together with 11 other chambers in ten Western Kentucky counties, is sponsoring a reception for legislators, Gov. Beshear, and other key state leaders in Frankfort on Wednesday, February 20, 2008, from 5:00 to 7:30 p.m. (EST) at Buffalo Trace Distillery.  The Chamber is planning to charter a bus to take a Hopkins County delegation to the event.  If you are interested in joining us, please call the Chamber at 270-821-3435 (or email c.commerce@newwavecomm.net) to reserve a seat on the bus.
